Why Is Caisey Giving Inaccurate or Confusing Responses?
Caisey is a powerful AI assistant designed specifically for workers’ compensation and lien defense attorneys. While it’s incredibly helpful, there may be times when its responses seem off, misleading, or just plain weird. This behavior is known as “hallucination”—a known limitation of advanced AI models.
What Causes Hallucinations?
Caisey generates answers based on patterns in the data it has access to. If a case has missing or outdated documents, or if a question is vague or outside the scope of the case data, Caisey may still try to respond—even if it doesn’t have the right information. This can result in answers that sound confident but aren’t supported by the actual case documents.
How to Use Caisey Responsibly
- Always verify high-stakes advice: Caisey is a helpful assistant, but it should not be your sole source of truth for legal decisions.
- Check your case data: Caisey only references documents stored in the specific Case you're working on. Incomplete or incorrect data can lead to inaccurate responses.
- Use feedback tools: If Caisey gives an unhelpful or incorrect answer, use the Send Feedback link or email us directly at ai@casefriend.com to let us know.
- Proof-read when pasting: When you copy a response from Caisey we include your question and a disclaimer in the pasted text. Make sure to proof-read and remove this protective language.
Best Practices for Accurate Results
- Ensure all relevant documents are uploaded to the Case before asking Caisey for insights.
- Ask clear, specific questions related to the case data.
- Treat Caisey as a productivity tool—not a replacement for legal judgment.
Caisey is here to support your work, not replace it. With the right inputs and expectations, it can be an incredibly valuable part of your legal workflow.
