This guide walks you through the Subpoena Dashboard, including how to order records, update statuses, and manage compliance. Whether you're organizing subpoenas or monitoring progress, this article will help your team stay efficient and accurate.
🧭 What Is the Subpoena Dashboard?
The Subpoena Dashboard displays all Subpoena Order Events created across your organization. By default, it shows all Pending subpoenas and records requests. Every subpoena remains pending until you record either a receipt of records or a Certificate of No Records.
With the Subpoena Dashboard you can:
📁 Create new subpoenas and records orders
🔍 Track the status of existing subpoenas/orders
✏️ Update subpoena details and upload documents
📊 Monitor compliance from one screen
💡 Tip: Statuses update automatically when you record receipt dates.
📝 Tracking Subpoenas on the Subpoena Dashboard
1️⃣ Order Records
Click Order Records to create a new Subpoena Order Event. Upload your subpoena, service documents, and any related files.
2️⃣ Receive the Records
When you receive responsive documents, update the Subpoena Order Event with the date received and upload the subpoena package.
3️⃣ Summarize the Records
After summarizing the documents, update the event with the summary date.
📝 If you receive a Certificate of No Records, update the event with the date and upload the certificate.

📄 Creating a New Subpoena Order
From the Subpoena dashboard:
- Click Order Records
- Select the case
- Choose Create in new tab (recommended)
- Complete subpoena details and upload documents
⚠️ Use the Details tab to select or create a Records Facility and specify the ordering party:
- Defense (default)
- Applicant – displays AA name
- Co-Defense – displays CD name
📊 Subpoena Status & Filters
The status bar shows counts for all Subpoena Order Events. Filter by Ordered, Received, or No Records using the date selector.
✏️ Updating Subpoena Status
Click any subpoena row to open the event. Enter dates for records received or Certificate of No Records, and optionally the summary date. Save the event to update the dashboard.

✅ All related documents remain accessible in the event and Doc Browser.
