AIntake is a fast, structured way to turn large documents into organized case files.
Upload your file, let AIntake process it in the background, then validate documents and events so everything is accurate before it reaches the case.
⚡ What is AIntake?
AIntake is designed for speed, accuracy, and control.
Instead of manually sorting, naming, and building files from scratch, AIntake prepares the work for you and guides your review.
You do not build the file. You review and confirm it.
🧭 Starting an AIntake Job
- Navigate to Intake
- Select a Case
- Upload your document
- Start AIntake
Large files of more than 500 pages begin processing immediately in the background.
You do not need to stay on the page. You can leave and return when it is ready.
⚙️ How AIntake Works
AIntake handles the heavy work first, then brings you in to validate.
- Uploads and prepares the file
- Splits large PDFs into usable documents
- Reads and structures pages
- Groups content for review
While this runs, you can continue working elsewhere in Casefriend.
AIntake prepares. You decide.
📄 Document Validation
Once processing is complete, you will review the documents created by AIntake. Your judgment matters: documents are not finalized until you validate them.
In Document Validation, you can:
- Review extracted documents
- Confirm or update document names
- Reorder pages if needed
- Add notes

🗂️ Handling Duplicates
AIntake does not automatically remove or modify documents.
If you identify a duplicate:
- Flag the document as a duplicate
- Use the duplicate indicator as a visual reference
- Move it to the duplicates section if needed
This ensures nothing is lost and everything remains under your control.
🧠 Event Validation
After documents are validated, you will confirm the related events.
- Confirm case activity
- Ensure timelines are accurate
- Verify key information
Once complete, documents and events are added to the case.
📊 AIntake Log
Every AIntake job is tracked in the AIntake Log.
You can use it to:
- Monitor job progress
- Return to unfinished work
- Review completed jobs
The log provides visibility into processing activity and performance.
⚠️ Working on Multiple Jobs
If you are working in one AIntake job and try to open another, you may be asked to Save & Exit first.
This prevents conflicts, incomplete validation, and duplicate work.
💡 Tips for Working Faster
- Start large jobs early so they process in the background
- Focus on validation, not manual sorting
- Use bookmarks to move quickly
- Flag duplicates instead of fixing everything manually
- Complete validation in one pass when possible
The fastest users treat AIntake as review and confirmation, not manual setup.
