🧩 Installing the Casefriend Browser Extension 

The extension is currently compatible with Chrome, Edge, and Brave browsers and supports syncing from California’s EAMS search results.

Use the Casefriend Browser Extension whenever you need to:

• Sync case data from court search tools into Casefriend
• Reduce manual data entry and improve accuracy

✅ What It Does

The extension allows you to:

• Search court records directly from Casefriend
• Send case details from EAMS into Casefriend with one click
• Mute or unmute prompts for uninterrupted browsing

1️⃣ How to Install the Extension

1. Log in to Casefriend and go to https://app.casefriend.com/#extension ⚠️you must be loggedin to Casefriend to access the download
2. Download the Casefriend Browser Extension.zip file
3. Extract the contents to a folder on your computer
4. Open your browser (Chrome, Edge, or Brave)
5. Go to Manage Extensions and enable Developer Mode
6. Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder (do not open the folder)
7. Click Select to complete installation

⚠️ Your browser may block the download—allow it if prompted.

2️⃣ Using the Casefriend Browser Extension

• Open a case in Casefriend
• Click the Casefriend icon in your browser toolbar (pin it if not visible)
• Click the search icon next to the Case Number or Applicant name to open the court page

• Once the case loads, click Send to Casefriend to sync data

3️⃣ Muting the Extension

To browse without prompts, toggle the Mute switch in the extension. Unmute when ready to resume syncing case data.
