💡 Tip: Copy Court data after creating a case, as well as regularly updating Case data from time to time ensures accuracy and saves time during litigation prep.

⚠️ Requirements Before You Begin

To use this feature, you’ll need the Casefriend Browser Extension.
👉 Download the Browser Extension here. You must be logged in to Casefriend to download the browser extension.

The Casefriend Browser Extension redirects you to a publicly available third-party court website. You may be required to authenticate or pass a CAPTCHA. Casefriend cannot automate these steps and does not guarantee uptime or availability of the third-party site. This tool is provided as a convenience for law firms.

🧑‍💻 Syncing Case Data from a Court Website

Step-by-Step Guide

1️⃣ Open the Casefriend Browser Extension

• Navigate to a Case in Casefriend and click the Casefriend Browser Extension icon in your browser toolbar.

2️⃣ Search by Case Number or Injured Party Name

• If your case includes a Case Number (e.g., ADJ in California), click the Case Number
• If no Case Number is available, search by the Injured Party’s Name.

3️⃣ Launch the Court Website

• Click the search icon next to the Case Number or Applicant Name:

   

• The court website will open in a new tab.
• Complete any required CAPTCHA or login steps.

4️⃣ Sync Case Data to Casefriend

• Once the case information is visible on the court website, click the Send to Casefriend button, review the Case data and click Impotrt. 

✅ Casefriend will automatically populate your case with available court data, including injuries, hearings, parties and other relevant details.
